Meetings

We meet at 5:15 on the third Tuesday of every month. Our meetings are held at the Near North Village, First Floor Community Room, 4th and Jefferson Streets, Springfield Illinois.

It is a secured entrance. Someone will be at the door from 4:45 to 5:15 to let you in. If you arrive late, call 217-971-4802 and ask Mike to let you in.

Our meetings are casual but productive. They are open to anyone interested in grassroots advocacy for people with disabilities.

Wise Words

"The popular belief is that protests arise when large numbers of individuals are fed up with the injustices of their lives. Actually, that rarely occurs. Rather, people rise up when they sense a whiff of hope." Frank Bowe

Nothing About Us Without Us

No policy should be decided by any representative without the full and direct participation of members the group(s) affected by that policy. The term comes from the title of a book by James Charlton about people with disabilites.
